Skills and Training Reference Group

The Skills and Training system is core to providing the foundations for young people to create meaningful careers.

The National Skills and Training Reference Group brings together skills representatives from each of the NYEB communities with representatives from state and national representatives of the tertiary education sector, Jobs and Skills Councils and the apprenticeship system.

The group co-develops policy influencing and advocacy opportunities in education and training that draw on lessons emerging in NYEB communities. It also supports the NYEB in driving a coordinated approach to drawing on national skills and training expertise to support place-based pilots and projects that are enabling greater alignment between local training and labour market opportunities.
