NYEB Evaluation 2025-2027 is now underway

The National Youth employment Body (NYEB) is conducting an evaluation to build evidence about how the NYEB demonstration project works and to contribute to learning and recommendations for improving the systems that support young people to gain employment in Australia.

This update is an overview of the evaluation purpose, design and data collection. For more detail or if you have any questions, please contact the NYEB Evaluation Team at nyebevaluation@bsl.org.au

Aims and purpose

  • Identify outcomes that the NYEB has contributed to, or achieved, in communities and the broader employment system
  • Contribute to knowledge about how the NYEB model is working towards its outcomes, and the factors that enable or are barriers
  • Explore stakeholder perceptions of the value the NYEB brings to the youth employment system
  • Offer findings and recommendations for strengthening the NYEB model and the youth employment system that can be utilised by NYEB stakeholders including policy makers

Who is involved?

The NYEB evaluation team, from the Brotherhood of St. Laurence’s (BSL’s) Social Policy and Research Centre, will undertake the evaluation, drawing on NYEB knowledge and practice.

The evaluation team will invite engagement from local and national NYEB alliance members and integrate observations from external stakeholders. The evaluation team will also draw from existing documentation and ongoing monitoring data.
